St. Augustine Seminary & Grotto
Established in 1922 by the Brothers of the Divine Word Missionaries. The
first Roman Catholic Seminary in the entire United States to train and
ordain African-American men to be priests and brothers. The on site
Lourdes Grotto was built in 1938, depicting the child Bernadette and her
vision of the Blessed Mother Mary. Later a walk-through Agony Grotto was
added onto the Lourdes.

Historic L & N Train Depot (c. 1928) and District
A beautiful setting for a beautiful building, this two-story, mission
style depot surrounded by park-like grounds. Designated a "Mississippi
Landmark" was once the heartbeat of the County. The depot served
as the centerpiece in a 1966 Tennessee Williams written, Sidney Pollack
directed film, "This Property is Condemned" starring Robert
Redford and Natalie Wood. Amtrack scheduled stop.

Beachfront Walking and Bike Path
Concrete paved walking, jogging, and bike path. Washington Avenue American
Legion pier, Bay St Louis to Garfield Ladner Pier, Waveland. Track is
3 miles one way. Hwy 90 up Dunbar Avenue to North Beach Blvd is 1.5 miles.
Beautiful scenery everywhere.
NASA's "StennisSphere"
John C. Stennis Space Center test fires the Space Shuttle Main engines
as well as rocket engines of the future and makes NASA's remote sensing
technology available for commercial use. It is also home to over 30 federal,
state and academic agencies. In the Visitors Center you will find many
interactive exhibits, a space station,, experience life on Mars, forecast
weather and study the oceans! Launch Pad located I-10 Exit 2 South, Mississippi
Welcome Center. Closed Sundays in Winter and Major Holidays.
